PEG report filed in Hawaii proceeding
A PEG report prepared for the Hawaiian Electric companies on regulatory reform in Hawai'i and the role that PBR can play was submitted January 4th in proceeding 2018-0088. The report discusses PBR mechanisms like performance metrics and multiyear rate plans and their uses in “utility of the future” regulation. Results of new empirical research supporting development of a new revenue adjustment mechanism for the companies are included.
